This is why Tahnee does not have anything under her personal care that is living (husband, kids, pets, PLANTS)...

This is actually a bigger pile than it looks. This is also called, pick the dead leaves off, dump water in the plant, and HURRY BEFORE YOUR BOSS GETS BACK TO SEE!!!!

Okay, so I am taking Keili to her very first Jazz Game in a week. I bought her this super duper cute Jazz Cheerleader outfit, and I made her these bows tonight to add to the cuteness of her attire, and I bought us lower bowl seats... AND I AM SO EXCITED!!! It was cute, when I showed Keili the outfit, she was so excited. She made me let her put it on, and I pretty much I had to pin her down to get the off of her. She loved it. I think my exact wording (with a ginormous grin on my face) was "Your reaction is making Aunt Tahn VERY HAPPY!!!". Nic just laughed. I will post pictures of her in the outfit at the game. LOTS OF THEM cause she is going to be the cutest little Jazz fan known to man! Notice the #24 on the barrett. I wanted her to be able to represent like Aunt Tahn. Keili may not know it, but she loves Paul Milsap too!!!

The Gift

Yesterday, Jesse asked me to print the Maintenance Shop List on bigger paper (than the 11x17 that he currently has), Well... our printer doesn't offer that capability, so I called downstairs. I have to add that Jesse holds to the fact that "someone, somewhere, on 2L has it printed on larger paper than 11x17). Well... I don't want to say they don't, but... they don't. Haha... just joking. Well, he has been downstairs all day today because of GA meetings and so, (you know how my brain works) I got this BRILLIANT idea. It's mostly a joke, but I printed this off in 12pt font (normally it is tiny writing, which is why he wants it bigger-something about getting older, I don't know cause I don't get older, I just have "gift acceptance days" once a year), and I taped it all together... forming THIS massive directory. And I posted it on his wall in place of the other smaller one. NOW... I am like a child on Christmas Eve and I CAN'T WAIT for him to get up here and notice it. Because he has no idea I did it. He is "trying to find the person that has it printed bigger, AND I can't wait forever (which is how long he'll be looking for that person. I really hope he never finds them, otherwise I may have offer an apology.)
No really... I literally can't wait, if he doesn't get here soon, I may make up some emergency and deal with the consequences later! Act now, pay later- right?

The Bear Neccessities

Save Me

The story behind the art:

When Peter saw the Savior walking on the water he cried out, "Lord…bid me come unto thee."

"Come." was all He said.

Filled with faith, Peter stepped from the safety of the boat on to the stormy sea. But as the winds picked up and the waves grew stronger Peter’s faith turned to fear. As he began to sink, Peter cried out, "Lord, save me."

Two thousand years later, Christ is still calling to us. As we step from the safety of self-reliance on to the stormy seas of discipleship, like Peter we pray, "Lord, save me."

With perfect calmness He stills the winds of our doubt, reaches down from heaven and saves us.

I listened to an amazing talk today and it reminded me of this picture by Liz Lemon Swindle. I love her art and I especially love this picture. The talk is called Look Up, Reach Out, Hold On - Letting the Lord Lift You when you feel like you are sinking. In the beginning of the talk he was talking about how Peter saw the Lord walking on water and attempting it himself. He couldn't do it and cried out, and the Savior pulled him up. Well the lesson we learn here is so great. See... we all at times feel like we are sinking. It's because we, like Peter, do things without the help of the Lord, but we forget that he is there for us, always. This is another reason we have the atonement. When we are sinking, we cry out and ask the Lord to save us, and he does. I just think that, at least for myself, I might not feel like I am sinking so much if I would let the Lord help me instead of attempting do it/go through things on my own. Sometimes I think it's just second nature, but we forget that he is there. It's so hard when you feel like you are sinking and the only thing left to do is cry out to the Lord to "save you", as Peter did. If you are like me, you are literally "crying out" to him. How much easier it would be if I would just let him help me from the beginning instead of waiting until I am sinking and scared to death, but I sometimes forget and just press forward without him.
Well... this has been on my mind a lot today, and I loved this talk, so if you have time I recommend you listen to it because I didn't even skim the surface of what is in this talk. It's like a chocolate chip brownie with chocolate frosting- very rich!
