Just One of the Guys

Okay.. this day, was quite the adventure! Dad and Dave and I did a lot of work on the basement in Nic and Daves house so I can move in. We began our day at home depot. First I would like to point out that it would be SO EASY to waste a whole inside Home Depot- but not for the reasons that are to follow. I have to point out that Dad, is a little gimpy because he hurt his knee a couple weeks ago. I kept telling him he was walking like he had a peg leg, and I called him Gimp all day. LOL! I will depict our Home Depot adventure with the following pictures. Though I should have taken more cause we were there FOREVER.

First, we have the EXTREMELY hard decision of picking out just the right screws. Yep, screws. If you could see me in this picture, I would be leaning on the card out of sheer bordem. This worker asked me if I needed help and I said No, that I was with THEM. I then proceeded to walk over and ask them if they needed help, they did, so I told the guy I lied and that they needed help. Of course Dave quickly replied, "Tahnee, we're Men, we don't need HELP!" I just said "They need help!"

NOPE... those won't work... put e'm back...
What I wouldn't give to get my hands on this thing for a day!!! HOLY SMOKES!!! This is the sweetest tool I'VE EVER SEEN!!!

Pickin' out wood. Now... this is a lengthy process. I think that it took less time for Lehi to travel to the promised land than it took Dad and Dave to pick out one flippin' piece of wood. Yep, Dad went through the whole stack. LOL!

I'm pretty sure that I have NEVER taken any where near the amount the time it took Dad and Dave to pick out a piece of wood, to pick out 1 pair of shoes!!! Put that on the record!!!

It's very tedious. YOu hav to look at from every angle possible. It's a good thing that when Dad decided to take me home from the hospital that day he didn't check my every angle. I think this is like Prejudice against wood!!! Men really are shallow!!! I wanted to take all those reject wood pieces home with me and build them a nice home, somewhere they would be loved.

This WAS "the one", but notice how Dad picked up another one. Classic Dad, I know.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE... This is "the real ONE". I put it in the cart and drug Dad out the aisle. There were like 1,000 pieces of wood, he would have kept going. All we needed this for was a shelf in my closet. And this is just to hold the shelf up, it's not even the actual shelf. It's just "shelf support".
This is what I call, Dad and Tahnee together for long lengths of time. Our basket had this huge piece of wood in it and it was hard to turn and I almost directed Dad into hitting someone in the face. So... we decided to put a bucket on the end so we didn't get "pulled over and ticketed". OF course, as you can imagine, Dad and I are dying laughing like we are 6, and Dave looks over, and does the "fatherly disappointed tilt of the head" reaches over and takes it off, sighs, and says let's go. I felt like Dad and I had just been reprimanded and had to sit in time out. Of course it just made us laugh harder. I love when Dad gets silly. OKAY... After about 3 hours (no that is NOT a typo) This is what we bought. I would like to add, for the record, that if I were going to spend 3 hours in a "girly" store, My cart would have much more in it than screws, 3 pieces of wood, 3 blinds, outlet covers and a pipe. RIDICULOUS, fun... but RIDICULOUS!!! We burned some serious daylight in this store!!! I think we walked 5 miles in the time we were there. We covered that store about 6 times- one side to the other!!!!

MAN DO I LOVE DAD!!!!
I am so grateful that Dad and Dave helped me with my living area!!! They are awesome!!!

Girls Night Out

So I bought Keili this super cute Jazz cheerleader outfit and made her some bows for her hair. She was SOOOO excited to go. Dave took some really cute pictures of her before the game, I'll keep bugging Nic to put them on her blog so you can all see them. So we got to the game and she was so exited. It was cute.
She LOVED this booklet they hand you at the door. She kept fllipping through it. Mostly she just loved the Jazz Bear in it. Nevertheless... I loved that she loved it.
Here she is clapping. She was a great cheerer. The lady sitting behind us was telling her how cute she was. The lady put both hands up to give Keili double high fives and keili gave them to her. It was funny. She was a hit! She even stood on my lap and thrust her hands in the air. I kind of felt bad for the people behind us... but i quickly got over it. Maybe cause I was so proud she was so excited. So... she loved the Bear. I wish he would have gotten closer to us, he was in the section next to us. She was so intrigued by him. Now is the time I have say that even though she loved being there, the Jazz pretty much sucked that night. Yes... you did read that right. So.. it got hard to keep her entertained. And... I lost my debit card. I swore I put it in my pocket, but it wasn't there when I went to buy her some cute little pom poms. So.. of course I worried about. Well... with the combination of Keili wanting to go, worrying if my debit card was in my car, and the Jazz losing, we left at half time. I never ever do this... but... yes, we left. The good news is... as we walked out, there was this guy out there that was talking to us, and I ended up giving him our lower bowl tickets cause he had upper bowl, he was so excited, and it made me feel good to let him enjoy being in the lower bowl, for free.
This is the cutest Jazz fan ever!!! See how much fun she was having. I love it! It was all worth it!
And this is how we finished off the game. At one of the best places to eat ever!!! Goodwood. Even Keili loved it. She was hunry and I decided that we had to go somewhere that we could watch the end of the game. SMART THINKIN' Tahn. And... they gave Keili a coloring page, that she loved. We had to take her brand new baby in that Grandma and Grandpa gave her for her birthday. It was fun. And of course, she loved the food there. We went in the bathroom while I food was cookin' and there was this big wall mirror. Keili hadn't even seen herself in her cutest ever on the planet Jazz outfit. BUT...when she laid eyes on herselt, I was so mad I left my camera at the table, she started laughing and posing in the mirror. It was so funny. Not vain AT ALL! Then she went to the bathroom. Washed her hands. Proceeded to again pose and cheer in front of the mirror. I told her we needed to go and she goes... "Is that a cute smile on Keili?" I laughed and said "It sure is!!!" Sadly enough, the Jazz have decided that there is nothing they want then to play the piece of crap Lakers. Oh... that's only after they decided to make their awesomest fan ever (that's me) assume the fetal position asking "why... why..." over and over again! (That might be a lie- but just because I didn't do it on the outside, doesn't mean it wasn't how I was feeling on the inside). Stupid Lakers!!! Their one sole purpose in life is to ruin mine. (YES, I recognize I am being a drama queen)

Tiny Dancer

This is really short, but I missed her dancing, you only get to see the end of it. Sorry. Oh, well you get to hear me tell her to do it, then I accidentally stopped. When I got the video started again, she jumped and hit her head on the foot, but when I watch it I feel so bad for her, so I won't post it. Poor Thing!

Oops I Did It Again...

Ummm... look what just happened... (yes I have a lot of work to do)... how does one do this you ask...For the normal person this may seem difficult, BUT... for Tahnee, I say Nay! This is normal. I have this bad problem of breaking these little thingy's off of pens, ON ACCIDENT of course. I can't not slide my thumb under this. If you knew how many pens I have broken in this way. It would be embarrasing. They could all gang up on me and seriously take me- it's that many. Carol Westaway won't even let me touch her pens because I broke my fair share of her pens when I lived with her. In fact... I think I scarred her for life. She will never forget this about me. When someone says "Tahnee" she thinks "Pen Breaking Monster". True story.
