Baby Sister Kaitlyn

You know those days when you need something good to happen, something funny to take your mind off the hard things in your life- well that happened twice to me today. Once this morning when I stepped on the scale. Who knew you could lose 5lbs in one day- but I'll take it. It made me feel good. I had readjust my eyes and think... is that? HOLY SMOKES! I also learned last night that the name Nielsen means Champion- anyone that knows me knows that THIS WAS WELL WELCOMED INFORMATION!!!! The next was this... Tonight Nic and I were sitting in the living room talking and Keili and Alex came down the stairs and enter the room. I took a picture of this but I can't find my camera cord to upload it so use your imagination. Picture this... Alex (who's all boy) is dressed in a floral pink and yellow button up the front girly shirt with black leggings with gold and silver hearts on the hip and a pink barrett with a flower on it in the front of his hair. Keili announces to us that this is her new baby sister, because she wants a baby sister SOOOO BAD and her name is Kaitlyn. And Alex... he looked so proud- LOL! I have to admit, I died laughing, which is good for me right now. She then proceeded to order Kaitlyn around, calling "her" by name, "kaitlyn". Nic and i were dying. I of course had to run down stairs and grab my phone to take a picture so all of you could witness the humor that is Kaitlyn. Finally Nic thought of Dave and told Keili to undress Alex because one day he might grow up and want to become a girl and Dad would be pissed.Keili said "Well I want him to be a girl" Nic said, "well as much as you want him to be a girl, he's still gonna have boy parts in his pants. Sorry." Keili came unglued because she "loves baby Kaitlyn". Of course i was dying laughing- still. Nic finally undressed him and Keili was so mad. She cried and cried and I was laughing so hard so she looked at me and scowled and said "Stop laughing Tahn." Which was just funnier. I took a picture of her in that moment. Then she told Nic she wanted a baby sister. Nic said "well talk to your Dad, maybe he will adopt you a baby sister from China. Do you want a chinese baby sister? They look like this (Nic pulled her eyelids back making sliver eyes)" Keili looked perplexed, then laughed and said "YES! How big are they?" Nic said "This big (stretching her arms wide apart- trying to discourage her from wanting one)" Keili looked perplexed again and said "They're fat?!?!" I died laughing, so did Nic. Then she walked over to me and says with her eyes pulled back in slivers like chinese eyes "Tahn... can chinese babies see?" LOL!!!! Oh my heck... this is just the laugh I needed today. I said "Yes Keili... they can see." It was so funny!!!! Funny times at the Rubow house- as usual. Sorry about not having pictures!

Peanut Butter Popscicle

Today I was sitting at my desk and decided I wanted a treat so as Karen came walking around the corner I said to my co-workers... "Okay...who has a sugar free treat for me?" They kind of laughed like... yeah right... I said to Karen and Melanie... "you know what I want right now?... Peanut butter. I love peanut butter, just to dip the spoon in and eat it- YUM!" Karen goes "HEY... me too. I have peanut butter in my drawer. I call that a Peanut Butter Popscicle. SOOOO... she got me her peanut butter and I had me a peanut butter popscicle. And I'm not ashamed to admit it.

A Couple of Cuties

About a month ago... I think... I went down to my Mom and Dad's to go to Cody's (my pretty much adopted brother) wedding reception. Rustin and Sarah were there and Sarah took this picture of me with Kempton and Sariah. Cute! CUTE CUTE KIDS!!! She just sent it to me and it made me smile. I love those stinkers!
